Inside is no cover, outside with a band is about 10. I ended up having to go to the bartender who was friendly to place my order. If we go back we will probably stick to beer and band only - no food. It's also an awesome spot to have some sundowners, and we've always found the wait staff pleasant and accommodating. . The place isn't really big but it's fine when you just want to get out and dance or hear a good band. When I pointed out the time I was then allowed to order.
I've also heard the red beans and rice are delicious. Sit out on our huge dock or covered patio and enjoy watching the boats go by while keeping cool with the breeze coming off of the lake. Enjoy Happy Hour from 3-7 with 2 for 1 domestic and craft draft beer! I guess it was just poor service. The food is all Sysco style frozen to table, the tables are very small, nothing special. Had to get napkins from another table. This has happened on many occasions. They have inside music and outside.
When going to the bathroom the employees felt the need to curse and let me know that I was keeping them from their plans. Obviously, the two became fast friends. Gene and Bubba will be live on stage from 6-9! The food tasted as if it was cooked in old grease. We've been to Hook'd Up many times since it opened a few years ago, we've never had a bad meal - and we've tried a lot of the menu; so far great burgers, yummy chicken wings, good fries, everybody loves the nachos and my favorite - firecracker shrimp tacos! I have worked many years as a waitress and I couldn't defend this service to the people I came with. We were comped a nacho plate that I would order again if I forced to! Informed that check would be comp'd, but we only accepted comp on 1 burger.
About Hook'd Up Bar and Grill is a restaurant located in Covington, Louisiana at 321 North Columbia Street. The resturant was not busy and I had to walk up to a waitress that told me the kitchen was closing. T Rivers easily has one of the best views in St. T Rivers Bar has been a staple for the surrounding area for many years and we are proud to keep the tradition going! She did, hurriedly, using a few napkins which I'd seen her dampen with water. We 2 seated ourselves at a corner table; had to ask server to clean the table. No, we're out of oysters and salad.
Again, when in Madisonville, go to Mortons! The only reason I stayed yesterday was because the bartender who was bartending outside by the band. She got her food in a somewhat timely manner. A bit hot outside on a hot summer night but you can cool off inside with a great house band. T Rivers Bar located at the mouth of the Tchefuncte River on Lake Pontchartrain. Eventually, I got my bacon cheeseburger and it's was very good. I will add that the server seemed very busy, working multiple areas of the restaurant, rather than a set area.
They are open every day except Sunday. We asked what the drink specials were and the waitress told us there weren't any. We even asked for additional shots on the side, which were also watered down yikes! Bring the family, kick back, relax after a long week and let our great staff take care of you! If you are going here specifically to drink, sit near the river and have good time. Let me start by saying that the food was good. The location is the only thing good about this reaturant.
We have been to Hook'd Up three times. We were just having a quick dinner. The only good thing was the staff was great and the live band was good. It's family friendly, my kids whoop when we say we're going there to eat. I went in for a few drinks and had terrible service not only by the bartender inside but also by the woman who claimed to be the owner. . .
